Integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) with pre-combustion CO2 capture has been developed as a means for maximizing energy efficiency and minimizing the effect of climate change. A 1Nm3/h hybrid system for pre-combustion CO2 capture consisted of 4 mass flow controller (MFC) s (CO, H2, CO2 and retentate flow), mass flow meter for permeate flow, water storage and injection, a mixer, two preheater, a high temperature shift reactor, a low temperature shift reactor, a multi-layer Pd-Cu planar membrane reactor, 2 ND-IR analyzers and 2 gas chromatographic analyzers. At the previous study by using simulated syngas, it was found that the maximum condition of WGS reaction was HTS : 390oC, LTS : 210oC and S/C : 4-5. As reaction pressure increased from 12.3bar to 20bar, the CO2 concentration of retentate flow increased from 70vol% to 90vol%.
