An overview of the Chemical Entrepreneurship Council (CEC) will set the stage for this symposium.  The CEC is a self organized working group of ACS committees, divisions and aligned external partners concerned with providing the resources and skills necessary for chemists to translate research into innovations which can become commercial products, to build strong careers, to support companies that create jobs, and to strengthen the positive reputation of chemistry.Outputs of the CEC:Education and Training (to include webinars, panels, workshops, mentoring/networking/team building, and business plan development)Roadmap Creation (to help leverage and understand what resources currently exists for chemists)Interface and Outreach (to engage the members by creating surveys and network opportunities to solicit ideas and needs of members)  In this symposium, a sampling of organizations and resources will be given as part of the Roadmap Creation output of the CEC.
