The Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE) at the National Science Foundation (NSF) has the broad mission of promoting excellence in undergraduate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education for all students.  Chemistry, as the central science, is well represented among the goals of providing leadership, supporting curriculum development, preparing the workforce and fostering connections.  DUE's targeted programs with hard deadlines provide significant national funding to foster advancement of the goals across the range of institutions of higher education.  Projects of interest strive to improve curricula, instruction, laboratories, infrastructure, assessment, diversity, learning, practices, and/or collaborations.   In addition to highlighting DUE's perspective beyond that in the solicitations, the role that chemists contribute to the support of NSF and DUE will be discussed.  These latter activities include writing and reviewing proposals, attending symposia and PI meetings, preparing reports and publications, and contributing data and highlights.
