The synthesis andcharacterization of new bis- and tetracarbeneplatinum(II) complexes with bis(triazoline-5-ylidene) and/orbis(imidazoline-2-ylidene) ligands and their photophysical properties will bepresented together with a new class of compounds: cyclometalatedplatinum(II) complexes with donating N-heterocycliccarbenes ([Pt(C*^C)(O^O)]). These complexes show a high potential for theapplication as triplet emitters in organic light emitting devices.
