Due  to the many potential uses in various fields, gels have become an area  of increasing interest for academic and commercial research. Although  hydrogels have a wide variety of  applications and their behavior is well understood, the conditions  under which they can be used are limited. Thus, polymer-based organogels  offer a versatile route to materials with tailored properties. This  study describes the production of organogels through  the use of Jeffamines, diisocyanates, amines, and various organic  solvents. The effects on the mechanical properties of each modular group  are investigated through rheological studies of both stress and  temperature. The results suggest that solvent polarity  and amine bulkiness affect hydrogen bonding and are the predominant  factors in the mechanical properties of the gel.
