There has recently been tremendous interest in curcumin, the primary active ingredient in turmeric, because it has been shown to have antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-Alzheimer's disease activity and antiobiotic activity. We are proposing to synthesize Curcumin bioconjugates with Bovine serum albumen, Bovine thryroglobulin and secondary rabbit antibodies.  Characterization is performed via FPLC, SDS PAGE and UV spectroscopy. The conjugates are being evaluated for their potential ability to eliminate breast cancer cells, with their functionality tested via the MTT assay.
