The frequency of oscillation, or rate of electron transfer, of a singly reduced mixed-valence pyrizine-bridged oxo-centered triruthenium dimer may be determined using terahertz resonance absorption spectroscopy. Similar to a classic far-IR result, an absorption in the terahertz region will provide strong time-resolved evidence for a picosecond, or ultrafast, rate of electron transfer.  This resonance absorption experiment will be the first of its kind and the impact of such results will prove monumental when discussing systems whose electronic coupling result in dynamic IR spectra.  Further, our results may pave way for new experiments to shed light on the previously unexplored region of chemical processes which occur on the picosecond timescale.
