Photocatalytic H2 production through water splitting can convert solar energy into chemical energy. In this study, a novel visible-light-driven photocatalyst of ZnS-CuS nanosheets were successfully synthesized by microwave hydrothermal method, it exhibit superior photocatalytic activities for H2 evolution from water under visible light irradiation (?= 420) without noble metal co-catalysts. The sample with the molar ratio of Cu/Zn was 1.5 % shows the highest activity for hydrogen evolution which can reach to 3.1 mmol h-1. Nanosheets structure is believed to facilitate the transportation of reactants. This work further developed the study about the relationship between metal sulfide solid solution's morphology and photocatalytic activity.
