The Saint Louis University ACS Student Chapter continues to serve as an integral member of the chemistry community at SLU and in the St. Louis community. We strive to spark interest and spread awareness of chemistry through participation in numerous service opportunities such as National Chemistry Week, Mole Day, the Boy Scout Chemistry Merit Badge Clinic, Halloween Bash, Stream Team, and Earth Day. Our community service extends to visiting local schools and performing demonstrations. We seek to inform and educate our members by encouraging career development, planning visits to local chemistry companies, inviting speakers, and informing them of local section activities. Through our efforts, members have the opportunity to become more aware of the rich and diverse careers that chemistry can offer. Our organization also strives to build a community among our members through fun and educational social activities. We plan to build upon our success over the past decade by continuing chapter involvement in the chemistry community and exploring new endeavors that strive to portray and reinforce the positive impact that chemistry has on the world by showing the community that chemistry is everywhere and benefits all who encounter it.
