The CSUS Chemistry Club strives to teach the community about chemistry, while showing them that chemistry can be fun. Our club sponsors several youth outreach programs during the year where we set up demonstrations and hands-on activities targeting grade-school students.  We celebrate National Chemistry Week by hosting a �Mole Day in the Mall� event.  We also present workshops at Expanding Your Horizons, a conference intended to encourage young girls to pursue an interest in the sciences and mathematics. �Family Science Day� is an event organized with local food banks where children and their parents participate in fun, chemistry-related activities on our campus in an actual Chemistry lab. Our student members, who come from many different backgrounds, learn leadership and organizational skills while reinforcing basic concepts in chemistry as they interact with the public.  They enjoy their time in Chemistry Club and leave CSUS ready to be leaders in their field.
