The University of Minnesota, Morris ACS chapter hosts activities throughout the academic year to bring together chemistry majors, faculty, and others interested in chemistry. The chapter reaches out to students at the beginning of the year during the student activities fair and sustains its outreach throughout the year by maintaining a website and advertising its events to the entire campus. The chapter hosts networking opportunities with UMM faculty members, alumni, and graduate students from a variety of universities. To promote environmental responsibility, the chapter organizes activities, such as highway clean ups, and endeavors to incorporate sustainable and renewable themes into its events, particularly the annual Chemistry Club Chili Cook-off. By planning these activities throughout the year, the ACS chapter at the University of Minnesota, Morris strives to promote networking, sustainability, and a general awareness of chemistry outside the classroom. The poster will highlight the chapter's activities over the past year.
