A  specific focus of our Central Washington University Student Affiliates  of American Chemical Society (CWU - Chemistry Club) for the 2011-2012  academic year was to increase interaction with the campus community. In  addition to participating in university-organized events, students  developed activities that sought to bridge the sciences. Collaborative  events with pre-pharmacy, biology and physics student clubs, such as integrated science topic speakers, K-12 science shows, and  interclub mixers (kickball tournaments and game nights), has helped  to develop a stronger sense of on and off-campus community.  It is our  hope that expanding club interactions with an interdisciplinary  perspective will help to increase awareness that chemistry plays a key  role as a central science.
