Photocatalytic water-splitting is one of the most promising methods for clean and renewable hydrogen production. However, most of the stable photocatalyst materials have wide band gap only absorbs UV light which is only 5% of sun light. To enhance the visible light responsibility, composition with fullerene based materials has been investigated. 1-2 Methano-fullerene carboxylic acid (FCA) is one of the fullerene based materials which shows good adsorption property on TiO2 surface. We tried to fabricate FCA/TiO2 composite using UV assisted single-step method. The method not only simplified the fabrication procedures, but enhanced hydrogen production rate.  shows the schematic procedure to fabricate Pt/FCA/TiO2 using UV assisted single-step method.  shows the hydrogen production rate of Pt/TiO2, Pt/FCA/TiO2 and Pt/FCA/TiO2 fabricated by UV assisted single-step method The difference of the surface morphology between two photocatalysts caused the difference of the reactivity.
