Series of thin film electrode materials including metal oxides, metal fluorides, metal selenides, metal nitrides, metal phosphides et al. were fabricated by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and magnetron sputtering. Their electrochemical properties were investigated by charge/discharge measurement and cyclic voltammograms. The electrochemical reaction mechanisms of these thin film electrodes with lithium were revealed.
