Dr. Loretta Jones has made tremendous contributions to the field of chemical education during her professional career.  These contributions reverberate throughout the world by means of her insightful research in chemical education, the continuing popularity of her general chemistry textbook (co-authored with Peter Atkins) as well as numerous other publications, and her generous, encouraging mentoring of hundreds of undergraduates in chemistry and dozens of graduate students in chemical education.
