The development of high throughput research (HTR) infrastructure and experimentation has been a major focus for The Dow Chemical Company.  This R&D effort was built on the vision that HTR experimentation could impact the effectiveness of all of our businesses. Over the past twelve years this vision has resulted in HTR infrastructure across a wide diversity of technologies, such as liquid formulations, coating and adhesives, thermoplastics and thermosets, organic synthesis, and both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis.  An introduction of these HTR workflows will be presented with special emphasis on the HTR catalysis tools. To highlight these catalysis workflows a case study will be presented on chain shuttling catalysis which demonstrates the use of this infrastructure from synthesis and characterization to catalyst screening.  In addition, this study will demonstrate the R&D enhancement achieved by HTR experimentation which leads to rapid new product commercialization.
