A study to assess the dermal and inhalation exposure of an applicator was performed during application of a fungicide kresoxim-methyl (Wettable Granular) on an apple orchard, using a patch method for the monitoring of potential dermal esposure and a personal air sampler equipped with a XAD-2 resin for inhalation exposure. The amount of dermal and inhalation exposure for the mixing/loading was 653.7 �g (0.0008% of total mixing amount) and 0.2 �g, respectively. During the application of kresoxim-methyl using a speed sprayer 24.0 mg for applicator (0.03% of total application amount) were observed as dermal exposure. Significant contamination was observed on the back of the neck (17.3%), right thigh (15.9%) and right upper arm (11.6%). The inhalation exposure was 2.3 �g (9.5 x 10-6% of dermal exposure amount). For risk assessment, the potential dermal exposure (PDE), the absorbable quantity of exposure (AQE) and the margin of safety (MOS) were calculated. MOS was >1, indicating of least possibility of risk.
