Citrus fruits are a good source of bioactive molecules demonstrated to posses several biological activities. Considering the need for further in vivo studies, unraveling the natural compounds for health promoting  properties is essential.  In the present study, dried peel powder of Miaray mandarin was sequentially extracted by hexane and chloroform in a Soxhlet type apparatus. The extracts were concentrated and subjected to separation on a silica gel column flash chromatography to obtain 10 compounds. The purity of the compounds was analyzed by HPLC. The isolated molecules were identified by MS-TOF and NMR studies as 5-hydroxy-3,7,3',4' tetramethoxyflavone (1), 5,6,7,8,4' pentamethoxyflavone (tangeretin) (2), 3,5,6,7,8,3',4' heptamethoxyflavone (3), 5,6,7,8,3',4' hexamethoxyflavone (nobiletin) (4),  3,5,7,8,3',4' hexamethoxyflavone (5),  3,5,7,3',4' pentamethoxyflavone (penta methyl quercetin) (6),5,7, 4' trimethoxyflavone (7), 5,7,8,3',4' pentamethoxyflavone (8), 5,7,8,4' tetramethoxyflavone (9) and limonin (10). These compounds were tested for their ability to interfere with cell-cell signaling and biofilm formation in Vibrio harveyi. The evaluated PMF's, demonstrated significant inhibition (P<0.05) of autoinducer-mediated cell-cell signaling and biofilm formation. The results suggest that Citrus miaray fruits are potent source of biofilm inhibitory molecules. This is the first report on isolation of bioactive molecules from Miaray mandarin and also the study of biofilm inhibitory activity.
