The modification technologies on commercial polymer membranes have gained moreattention in petrochemical industrial. The adsorption process by using an organic porous materialhas been particular attractive. In this work, polybenzoxazine was used for 1-hexene/n-hexane separation by packing into a column. Silver ions will be impregnated into polybenzoxazine xerogel. By adding chemically active sites in a polymeric matrix, which can form reversible coordinating complexes with olefin molecules in order to increase the selectivity and permeability, can lead to an enhancement in the olefin/paraffin separation efficiency via adsorption technique. The sorption behavior of resulting polybenzoxazine xerogel will be investigated by using Fournier Transform spectrometers (FT�IR). X-ray fluorescence (XRF) was used to determine the amount of silver ions. The quantities of separation 1-hexene and n-hexane will be determined by using a gas chromatograph (GC).
