Since water pollution is a huge problem in East Asian countries, in order to teach how to analyze water environment to students who has little background about chemistry from East Asian countries, we worked to design a lecture and a practice. In this class, students learned experimental design, how to collect and analyze samples in the field and laboratories, and statistics, which all topics that serve the field of analytical chemistry. This is the part of the East Asia Environmental Strategist Training Program in Research Institute for East Asia Environments of Kyushu University, which is an educational program taken by not only undergraduate students but also graduate students with various back ground from various countries as minor course.We will present what we learned and developed in this class, and student attitudes toward this class.
