Rhodium-105 is an ideal candidate for radiotherapeutic applications.  It is a moderate �- emitter (0.566 MeV [70%], 0.248 MeV [19%], t�= 35.4 h) and is available in �no-carrier-added� concentrations.  The aim of this project is to develop a tetrathioether bombesin bioconjugate that when complexed with 105Rh (105Rh-S4-8Aoc-BBN) will useful for targeted  radiotherapy of prostate cancer. Bombesin peptide targets gastrin releasing peptide (GRP) receptors, which have been shown to be over-expressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells. Chelate synthesis, peptide coupling, radiolabeling and potentially IC50 studies of the S4-8Aoc-BBN bioconjugate will be presented.
