In 2002, the IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE), funded by the National Center for Research Resources at the National Institutes of Health (NIH-NCRR), established the DE-INBRE grant which focuses on building biomedical research capacity in Delaware. The DE-INBRE program is led by the University of Delaware and Wesley is one of six partners in the State.During the nine year phase of this UD-Wesley INBRE partnership, a major portion of this and other grant funds were utilized to renovate several research wet-laboratories, the storerooms, and prep-rooms, and to re-engineer the ventilation system to accommodate the installation of new free standing and bench-top AIHA/Ansi Certified Chemical fume hoods.[Grants: NIH-NCRR-INBRE grant 2 P20 RR016472-11; NSF-EPSCoR grant EPS-081425; NSF-MRI grant 0520492; NSF ARI R2 grant 0960503]
