Optimal safety instruction at the college level for chemistry courses is described in some detail in the Supplements to the ACS CPT Guidelines.  To meet these requirements it is best to develop a comprehensive safety program that spans the four-year curriculum so that students appreciate that safety is a part of all lab activities.  This program reveals that safety issues presented in various courses in a four-year program become more complicated as advanced courses are addressed.  This poster will describe a program that includes safety instruction in all lab courses.
