Teaching and conducting research overseas can lead to creative ideas for chemical education. In this seminar, overviews of five (semi-)recent (co-)authored contributions: four from the Journal of Chemical Education (now proudly found at http://pubs.acs.org/), and an interlanguage (Korean-English) General Chemistry textbook will be given. Points will be made about what chemical education research is, and what globalized chemical education can be.
