Nanotechnology is a surging study that dedicatesitself to the manipulation of materials in the nano-range, which is accepted tobe from 20-100nm. Organic modified silanes (ORMOSIL), such as vinyltriethoxysilante, are a series of organic/inorganic hybrids that has beendiscovered to have various combinations of properties. The chemistry of theORMOSIL ideally brings different types of organic group to the nanoparticlethat can help functionalize the nanoparticle ina specific way depending in what objective is directed. We propose that byadding a biodegradable group in the nanoparticle, it will be functionalized tobecome smaller, better bioexcretable nanoparticle, or become a better deliveryvessel for different types of drugs. The compound dithiodipropionic was chosenfor its disulfide bond that can be cleavable by a reducing agent or anotherthiol group. For the drug release analysis, Doxorubicin (DOX) will be usedbecause of its fluorescent capacity and chemotherapy application. The nanoparticlehad a size of 70nm. The size did not became smaller with a reducing agent, butthe DLS data presents that something happened with the outer core of thenanoparticle. Drug release data presents evidence that the nanoparticle that areducing agent was added the release was more than the nanoparticle without thereducing agent.
