Low mass F TOF MALDI MS was carried out on the products of Group IVB metallocene dichlorides and isomannide.  The 'mildness' of the technique is consistent with the lack of ring opening or fragmentation of the isomannide moiety.  As in other cases, loss of the cyclopentadiene group is common.  Ion fragments up to seven units are found.  As usual, chain fragmentation occurs about the metal site.
