This lecture will detail some of our laboratory's recentendeavors in the development of new reagents and reactions for organicsynthesis.  Attention will be paid tounconventional complexity-building transformations that deliver useful functionalgroup arrays.  Some efforts to simplify traditionallychallenging bond constructions will also be discussed.
