The fingerprint and CH-stretch regions of Raman spectra from cells, tissues, and materials contain a wealth of functional information. Broadband coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering microscopy provides spatially resolved broadband Raman spectral information at acquisition rates 50 times faster than spontaneous Raman scattering, but has still been too slow for widespread adoption. We will present recent significant improvements in spectral acquisition speed � now reaching fluorescence imaging speeds - and also demonstrate materials and biological applications of the improved technique.
