The America Invents Act includes the development of a US Patent Opposition Process that is similar to the one in Europe. While the specific details of the process are still being reviewed by the USPTO, it is clear that businesses must start to build in procedures to act as soon as the process is implemented. This presentation will present some of the big picture issues related to the new patent opposition process, along with providing information as to how businesses can hit the ground running when the process is finally initiated.
