Our group has been interested in using polyamine scaffolds as primary recognition elements for the development of heterotopic cooperative binding species.  Coupled with solvatochromic fluorophore binding, we have worked toward the application of this self assembly to develop a cooperative �turn-on� fluorescent chemosensing ensemble.   Spatial insulation from quenching metals may afford a means to promote a fluorescence increase in the reporter upon binding.  Initial results will be reported.
