A thin layer of Cu- based metal organic frameworks was investigated as a photo-sensitizer for P-25 TiO2 nano-particle film. Originally, the MOFs film behaved as an insulator which was later switched dramatically into an electrical conducting MOF with the conductivity range of ca. 2.43 � 10-6 S cm-1 by doping with iodine. A Gr�tzel type sandwich solar cell with doctor bladed TiO2 film sensitized with iodine doped Cu-MOF as photo-anode was fabricated successfully for the first time.
