We report the synthesis of polyether esters from reaction of Group VA containing dihalides with glycyrrhetinic acid employing the aqueous interfacial condensation reaction system.  The products are formed in low to moderate yield (10-50 % yield) in 15 seconds and less.  The products are moderate to high polymers with chain lengths from 270 to 2,500.  Bands associated with the formation of the M-O linkage are found.  Other bands are identified that are characteristic of the presence of units from both reactants.  The structure about the metal is believed to be largely non-bridged. NMR results are also consistent with the proposed structure.
