In this study, crystal orientation and temperature effects on the ferroelectric behaviors of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene-co-chlorotrifluoroethylene)-graft-polystyrene with 14 wt.% grafted PS side chains [P(VDF-TrFE-CTFE)-g-PS (14%)] are studied. The crystal orientation had a significant effect on the ferroelectric behaviors of the P(VDF-TrFE-CTFE)-g-PS(14%) graft copolymer. In the test electric field range, the non-stretched sample showed linear and narrow D-E loops, whereas double hysteresis loops would appear for uniaxially stretched samples. Better crystal orientation would lead to a higher discharged energy density but with an increased unreleased energy percentage. The double hysteresis behavior for the graft copolymer was stable below 75 �C. Above 75�C, both dc conduction and ion migration started to play an important role and induced a significant hysteresis loss under low poling fields. Therefore, increasing the temperature caused an increase in the stored energy density but a decrease in the discharged energy density.
