We have developed a new strategy for the synthesis of spirocyclohexadienones.[1] The structural similarity of them with some natural anti-cancer compounds prompted us to evaluate their antitumoral profile (Scheme 1)The results of the antiproliferative evaluation are summarized in Table 1.The different spirocyclohexadienones showed promising antiproliferative activity and their mechanism of action are ongoing.CNPq, Fapesp and Capes[1] Coelho, F.; Almeida, W.
