We have recently used the tris(2-pyridylthio)methyl ligand, [Tptm], to afford a variety of zinc complexes, such as the methyl, hydride and trimethylsiloxide derivatives, [?3-Tptm]ZnMe, [?3-Tptm]ZnH and [?4-Tptm]ZnOSiMe3.  Here we describe catalytic applications of these and related molecules, which include (i) hydrolysis and alcoholysis of silanes, (ii) hydrosilylation of CO2, and (iii) ring-opening polymerization of lactide.
