Tp (Trispyrazolylborate) tungsten nitrosyl complexes that form thermally stable ?2-carbon dioxide complexes have been prepared using elevated pressures of carbon dioxide. These complexes have been characterized by X-ray crystallography, cyclic voltammetry, IR, and NMR spectroscopy. The reactivity of these of these and analogous molybdenum complexes have also been investigated.
