An accessible and inexpensive high-throughput experimentation chemistry lab was established at the University of Pennsylvania in a collaborative effort with the Merck Process Chemistry Catalysis and Automation lab.  The collaborators demonstrate that the HTE tools that were initially developed at Merck to enable catalysis on high-complexity, pharmaceutically-relevant substrates can also be used to rapidly uncover chemical conditions for new academic discovery.  A description of the technology and the new chemistry that was developed will be highlighted.
