One of the goals of the Women Chemists Committee (WCC) is to promote and recognize the professional accomplishments of women in the chemical sciences and related disciplines.  While we tend to think of the professional accomplishments as something big, like the Garvin-Olin Medal or other ACS Awards, there are a number of professional accomplishments that occur along the way.  These may include: the first professional job in a person's field, a promotion, a local section award, etc.  It is important to recognize the hurdles that are faced and overcome during a person's career or in preparation for that career.  This paper will highlight the ways that the WCC has fostered a culture of recognition and is working to highlight the accomplishments of careers throughout the ACS.
