The application of Quality-by-Design to the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical products requires robust analytical methods to characterize raw materials, intermediates and finished products, as part of the product and process understanding.  This presentation will discuss challenges in the development of new methods and describe opportunities for collaboration between analytical R&D groups and quality groups.
