A typical cyclic voltammetry (CV) usually consume ml-level quantity of bio-sample and has a drawback of mass transfer influence to catalytic kinetics. Response to this situation, we propose an automatic microfluidic bio-analysis platform, which is mainly comprises of a micro-shuttle electrochemical analyzer (MSEA). Microfluidic devices have been demonstrated as ideal platforms for biological assays because of the advantages including reagent-saving and analysis-time reduction. For similar reasons, a microfluidic device is a well-suited tool for remodeling the exploration of bio-sample catalysis. In the MSEA, 10�l of bio-sample can be shuttled back-and-forth through the minimized three-electrode detection chip in the micro-channel 60 times per minute. Due to the micro-mixing effect, the influence of mass transfer to the electrochemical catalysis decreased, thus avoided the under-estimation of kinetics. With further investigation, the MSEA could be an alternative for CV based on the benefits of reagent-saving and the enhancement of mass transfer.
