We studied the fate of azoxystrobin and difenoconazole  residues during processing of ginseng and its commodities. Pesticides  were applied in ready to harvest 6 year old ginseng plants in two typical ginseng growing fields in Republic of Korea. Ginsengs were harvested 14 days after last application of pesticide and processed to obtain different commodities. Azoxystrobin residue level averaged from 0.03 to 0.05 mg/kg for fresh ginseng and 0.05 mg/kg to 0.33 mg/kg for ginseng commodities. Difenoconazole  residue level were below < LOQ for fresh ginseng and < LOQ to 0.36 mg/kg for ginseng commodities. The processing factor ranged to 1.34~7.84 for ginseng commodities. Likewise, the reduction factor ranged to 0.51~3.41, and 0.73~3.74, respectively. The maximum residue level (MRL) for difenoconazole and azoxytrobin in ginseng were estimated to 0.5 mg/kg, and 0.02 mg/kg, respectively.
