We study the temperature dependence of the spatial extent of the dynamic heterogeneity near the so-called mode coupling temperature Tc. We utilize a recently introduced procedure [E. Flenner and G. Szamel, PRL 105, 217801 (2010)] to calculate the ensemble independent dynamic susceptibility ? and the correlation length ? at the alpha relaxation time t. Above Tc we find ?~?3 and ?~lnt, which is the same behavior found in a binary hard sphere system. In the vicinity of Tc the latter relationship changes to a slower growth of the dynamic length with the relatxation time. We compare our results with the recently reported non-monotonic temperature dependence of dynamic correlations [W. Kob et al., Nature Physics 8, 164 (2012)].
