 Palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction for carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bond formation has received significant attention due to their importance in natural products and pharmaceuticals.  For achieving high efficiency in cross-coupling reactions, studies have focused on the development of new ligands, particularly phosphorus containing ligands.  Sterically demanding, electron-rich alkylphosphines have been shown to privileged ligands for these reactions.  Herein, we report the synthesis of new bisphosphine ligands and their use in the Buchwald-Hartwig amination of alkyl amines and the use of aryl triflates and mesylates in various palladium catalyzed reactions.
