Formation of biaryl bonds via C-H bond activation is highly desirable due to its green and economical superiority. Herein two novel palladium catalyzed C-H activation reactions are presented.  A tethered, electron poor benzimidazole substrate was subjected to an intramolecular cyclization via double C-H activation and subsequent C-C coupling. The reaction was carried out on a large substrate scope to identify trends. Conversely, an electron rich indole substrate was subjected to an aerobic intermolecular C-H activated arylation. The regioselectivity of the reaction was examined for a library of substrates.
