We herein demonstrate QD-conducting polymer hybrids with improved hole injection property. Based on conventional poly(N,N�'-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-phenyl-N-4-vinylphenyl(1,1'-biphenyl)-4,4diamine (polyTPD) as a hole transporting material, an electron-withdrawing �CF3 group was introduced (polyTPDF) to lower the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) of conducting polymer ligands. For favorable enthalpic interactions with QDs, an anchoring block (-SSMe) was introduced in combination with polyTPDF ((poly(TPDF-b-SSMe)), which interacts with cationic sites of QDs. Because of the attractive interactions between anchoring blocks and QDs, QDs in a hybrid film are uniformly distributed in the entire region. Moreover, QD-poly(TPDF-b-SSMe) hybrid-based QLEDs with the inverted device structure showed the enhanced hole injection property over wide operation conditions as well as longer device lifetime, when compared with QD-poly(TPD-b-SSMe) hybrid-based devices.
