Radical monoanions of meso-to-meso ethyne-bridge (porphinato)zinc arrays (PZnn  compounds) were chemically generated using decamethylcobaltacene in a dual optical-EPR cell that permitted parallel electronic absorption and EPR spectroscopic measurements. These experiments demonstrate extensive radical anion state delocalization.  EPR data indicate that PZnn  monoanions feature the longest electron polaron delocalization lengths yet reported.
