Regioselective HBr-elimination of vicinal dibromides having an adjacent O-functional group is a powerful tool in organic synthesis. We developed a novel one-pot method for chemoselective bromination and sequential C�C bond formation (Sonogashira, Negishi, and Suzuki coupling) of allyl alcohol derivatives, utilizing the HBr-elimination as a key step. In addition, we achieved the first total synthesis of (+)-heteroplexisolide E, effectively using one-pot Negishi coupling .
