Radiochemical analyses of imploded NIF capsule debris could provide direct information on the physics of burning plasma that formed.  In this talk I present calculations showing how details on capsule timing, stopping powers, and hydrodynamical mixing can be deduced form prompt radiochemical signals. Such measurements would provide unique diagnostics for capsule performance. In addition, when combined with other diagnostics, radiochemical measurements could be used to test models of turbulent mixing in strongly compressible convergent flow, with thermonuclear burn.
