The presentation will be held in two parts, describing my research as a graduate student with Prof. John F. Berry and recent results from my postdoctoral studies in Prof. Jeffrey R. Long's group as part of the DOE Hub JCAP (Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis).The first part will contain selected results from my graduate work on di- and tri-metallic transition metal complexes containing metal-metal bonding and their unusual spectroscopic properties and novel reactivity.The second part will focus on strategies for improved molecular catalysts for the electrocatalytic reduction of protons and their covalent attachment onto electrode and semi-conductor surfaces.
