Cyclic Au (I) trimer systems based on pyrazole (Pz), triazole (Tz)  or carbazole ligands are popular environmental sensitive phosphorescent systems. Emission tunability with respective to changes in external stimuli like pH, heavy metals and rigidity of matrix is limited to materials applications due to their incompatibity with aqueous media. Here we show a facile in situ formation of bright emission tunable Au (I) cyclic trimers with modified (Pz') and (Tz') ligands within different negatively, positively and neutrally charged polymers (chitosan, alginic acid and hydroxyl propyl cellulose) in order to understand effect of functional group of both polymers and ligands on emission tunability, sensitivity and stability. Bright red emission noticed in both aqueous solution and film. Film formation encourages for broader utilization of these systems for OLED (organic light emitting diodes) and biological imaging applications.  Film forming ability is investigated for making pH and heavy metal sensitive systems for packaging and coating applications
